Login Problem

i have created one company and trying to update from GP utility but it is not updating i wann remove but it is locked and not allowing me to remove and plz tell me the steps to add new company and do i have to do any updates from client machine the endusers are not able to login for the new company .

    I did Not update any thing on server nor on client .

     Hi,

    Have you updated any service pack or patch in server?

    Please verify the version of Server and Client machine GP..

    I will brief in details  scenario  .

    I have created one new Company and assign this new company to the users and i am able to login with SA account and other User Acc on server perfectly, wen i try to login on the client machine i am not able to login with a SA Account  also on client machine  apart from normal users Account , wen i try to login with SA or normal account  i am getting  this error  ""The Database setup has not beenCompleted  for Microsoft Dynamics  GP ,Use Microsoft  GP utilities to complete the setup  before starting Microsoft GP  ""

    Hi Syed,

    We need additional information to help you. Please answer the enquiries below individually:

    Lets focus on your username and your computer first. 

    1. Did you install an upgrade or patch recently, just before you created this new company?

    2. Is GP working in other Companies?

    3. Did you get any error when you created your new company? 

    4. Have you went inside your newly created company? May I know which user ID you were using?

    5. Have you configured this company for you and other users use?

    We have to resolve first if there are issues in your computer using your user ID before we can go to the next step of providing other users access.

     Dear Leslie,

     

    Thanx for your response , i have given all the access to the end users which  i have given to my existing company once i created a new company and given access to the end users i am getting a error 

    "The Database setup has not beenCompleted  for Microsoft Dynamics  GP ,Use Microsoft  GP utilities to complete the setup  before starting Microsoft GP  "

    This msg on enduser machine is displaying and the data base which i have create is showing lock  how to release that loch  ,  so can u tell me what  is the error indicate

    Syed,

    Please give us more information.

    Were you ever able to log in to the new company you created?

    What did you do that caused you to need to update the company using GP Utilties?

    You create a new company using GP Utilities, the only thing you have to do for your end users to access it is to give them access under the System menu. The selection is User Access.

    Nothing needs to be done to the client machine in order to grant access to a new company.

    What version of Dynamics are you using?
