May i know where we use the formatted values in java scripts with a small real time example.

Hi Chaitu,
Its depends on your business scenario . Let's say you have option set field (Customer Type : Gold(1),Silver(2))and you want to get value instead of text to pass to the third party application where the value maintained as a master.
Another example let say you want to make a field locked depends on the option set field alue , so in that case also you get the formatted value and compare the value and locked the field.
Ideally you know optionset text can be change but value will not change so its better to get the formatted value and do all the operation in your code.
