AX2012 Filter By Field on Address

We are implementing AX2012 R3 and the changes to the Address Framework are really giving me headaches.  Our users on the CRM Business Relation table, the Customer Table and the Sales Order tables use address filtering FREQUENTLY.  There are many valid reasons for doing things this way.

By default, most address information is display on forms using data methods, so is not filterable.  Has anyone implemented a workaround to make address information filterable?

    Ahhh...the joins are there.  The display methods were customized.
