SQL Server 2008 database detaching automatically

Hello All! so I have a weird problem, I have a database (not GP) related issue. It was working just fine until now, Every time I restart my server, the database seem to disappear. after extensive research I found out that the database just detaches, so I have to attach it again after the server restarts. I can't find a solution to this, has anyone come across it? I did many virus scans, but nothing, so It can't be a virus. I have also tried repairing the sql and that didn't work. I have tried to take this database and added to my test environment, and it seem to work fine, so it is not the database itself, I'm guessing something in the sql server that is corrupt or a virus?

Check under SQL Agent. Did someone create a job that detaches your database when the SQL service is stopped? There is something in that instance of SQL that is doing that.

I looked at the jobs, and i only have 3 jobs:  2 of them are backups, and one of them are cleaning purging the history. nothing seems to jump out. any other ideas?

I would try simply Stop and Starting the SQL service to see if it detaches on it own. I am curious if it is the reboot that is causing this or the stop/start of the service.

    Hello Adal,

If you haven't and if this is still an issue, I would also recommend entering this question/issue under the actual SQL Server Support forums as that is something that they would probably be more likely to be able to answer whether or not this would be a GP database detaching automatically.

I haven't heard of this happening, but it's possible the other customers/partners on this forum or the SQL Server team may have.

    Thank you,
