I have a user who is exporting from Smartlist to Excel. Even though she clicks on Excel it opens in Word Pad. She is accessing GP via a Terminal Server and we are using GP 2013.

No changes were made to her profile, but we recently upgraded to GP 2013.

Excel was not set as the default on the user's profile on the TS, thanks for your response.

I would check your file associations. Sounds like someone xls file have been associated with WordPad.

Is this happens for all the users including sa user?

Do you have installed Excel on the GP 2013 installed server?
