Line No. in Payment Journal Renumbering Problem

Dears,

we are using BC 14 on-premise and I have a problem with the renumbering of the payment journal. we have a workflow approval on the payment journal line so when we had to delete a line for any reason to be able to post we had to renumber all the lines through the renumbering function in the journal and this make us had to resend all the lines for approval again.

Please if you had any insight on the subject

Why do you need to renumber the lines? You don't have to renumber line no. if you delete a line.

The Error is about Posted No. Series gap happened if I deleted a line in the Payment Journal (attached a screenshot of the error).

the steps that lead to this error like this:

    1. make records of payments and sending it to approval (selected Journal Lines).

    2. if one is rejected and removed.

    3. trying to post the journal (error accord).

    workaround.

    before step 3:

    1. use the function renumber document number (marked in the screenshot).

this will reassign the document no for the records, but the approval is gone and need to resend to approval again.

so, this is the problem I am facing.

One easy way to fix the issue is you set the "Manual Nos" to true on Batch No. Series and you don't have to renumber.
