For reports, you must use filtered views to fetch data.

    Each entity has filtered view.

For example you can write query like:

    Select * from filtered account

    Hi Rocker,

Thank you so much for quick reply. This is good idea along which I'll go deeply. Can you provide more detail information (e.g. useful links) for my reference?

    Kindly,

Read about filteredviews & it’s importance on keeping CRM security model intact in reports. [View:https://crmbusiness.wordpress.com/2015/03/13/crm-2015-why-filtered-views-are-useful/]

Sample query: Select * from filteredaccount

    Hi,

The easiest way for end user is to use the Advance Find & inbuilt search tools which can be used define the filter criteria and the columns to display. This is inbuild and you don't have to do anything to configure it.

The next easiest option is to create a report using Report Wizard. This will create a report and you users can run this report. Once the report is eecuted, user can also export the data in different formats.

If you are looking for for some complex report then you can create FetchXMl/ SSRS based reports.

The other way of reporting is to create dashboard. With this, you can display multiple charts, list of records etc in one place.

If you want to go more deeper, refer the below link for your options (including Power BI)-
