Firstly i would think that this is a problem between the userID and the SSID that active directory uses to track the user, i would guess the IT guys may have done something with your Active Directory, perhaps an upgrade?
There are a few places that this might be going wrong,
My first bet would be to do a complete cleanup of the user and recreate them, delete the user and user ID out of NAV, then go into SQL and delete the windows user out of SQL as well, not just the database but the server security folder.
Once they are completely cleared go into NAV and look for user information under
"Windows Access Control"
"Windows Login"
"User Menu Level"
"User Personalisation"
"User Metadata'
"Page Data Personalization"
Delete anything you find in there with the users userID
Then create the user again in SQL & NAV, I think this might sort out the issue
