I am new to GP and wondered if any developer here has worked with a company to add features (customized) to this GP. I am fairly new to development and would appreciate a chat with someone more experienced.

Andrew, you need to talk to Leslie Vail, who is a major contributor to this forum and a very experienced GP developer. I'm sure she'll chime in here when she sees your post.
