¿Is there a way to avoid uploading protected files in Dynamics 365 Notes Attachment?

Posted on by 1,086

How to handler that scenario?

I thought on write a plugin that validates if it's password protectered then throws an error but as you know there is a thousands of files types and i think the logic will vary on each file. btw I don't know why  a sales person would upload a .psd(photoshop)  file,  but you know "customers". ¿should i narrow the extension in the config "Set blocked file extension"? ¿should i write a plugin validating the common protected files like (.pdf, office suit ,.zip,.rar)? I dont even know where to start.

Thanks.

    Pablo,

I understand that sometimes tasks from customers are "weird" but as for me your scenario addresses non-existing issue. Sometimes you can ask why customer needs it and explain that there is no point to spend a single minute for the task. I see no problem uploading password-protected files to Notes.
