Hi
The settings about "reporting unit selection" (tab Settings) in a report definition in Report designer for a financial report - how are these settings influencing the reports generated from D365 Financial reports?
It seems that it is not used?
(they do when the report is generated in Report designer)
Hello,
It depends on what setting the report is saved with. If the report is saved with the option "Select units at runtime" or "Include all units", the generated report in the D365 client will include all reporting units.
If the report is saved with the option "Include specific number of levels down from starting unit", and you have selected a starting unit on the Report tab, then the report will be generated only with the number of levels entered.
Thanks!
Hi DynCost,
Does your financial report has a reporting tree assigned?
If this is not the case then you should not worry about those reporting units and when they are selected.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi,
Reporting unit is selected or configured when you would like to use organization hierarchy for your financial reporting.
E.g. If you have multiple entities , you can create "Tree" for all entities and generate consolidation based on that
