I want to remove some of the Options from the List in the Quick Create menu. Please let me know how we can achieve this. Any help is much appreciated.

As Aric mentioned "Allow quick create" check box is enable only for custom entity so you can disable quick create functionality using this for custom entity only , but in system entity like TASK this option is disabled always.

Entity those having quick create from available are listed here when you are clicking on + icon , so you may be restrict using security role, just remove the create permission of that entity for task it will be activity entity.
You can restrict also for custom entity by enabling form based security and also deactivating the form if you dont require.
I have checked for system entity (Task) you can not deactivate the quick create form due to managed prperties so its not possible without security role.

The items that are visible in the Quick Create menu, are automatically there based on your selection of the Entities Quick Create (with the exception of Activities), which by default show Task, Phone Call, Email and Appointment.
The only way to remove Quick Create for the menu is remove Quick Create for the entity. You have no control (in any supported way) to do this for activity.
