SmartList Designer Calculated Field not visible

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I created a SmartList using SmartList Designer in Dynamics GP 2013.  I have 2 calculated fields that are working and are visible as I'd expect them to be.  But when I add a 3rd Calculated field, it lets me create it, and save it, but it doesn't show up in the list of Selected Fields.  Does anyone know what the limit of Calculated Field is within a SmartList?  And if it is more than 2, would anyone know why this Calculated would not show up as a field once it is created?  Thanks!

Thank you.  I tried that over and over. Maybe I hadn’t highlighted something correctly.   I ended up deleting the SmartList and rebuilding it.  It shows now.

    (Such a cool tool!)

On the 'Calculated Fields' scrolling window select the row which has the 'Calculated Field' you want to add as a new column to the SmartList, double click on it and then click the OK button.

After the above actions you will see the calculated field added to the SmartList.

No Debra, I never did.  I ended up creating a SQL View instead, and using that.  That allowed me to view all the fields I needed.  Still find it strange that you can't see multiple calculated fields in the Designer though.

Did you ever get an answer to this?  I am having the same issue!

    Thanks
