Set up a detour of items remained to be packed in warehouse management App

Hi,

I am trying to configure a detour in the Pack container step, where I want to display the lines that still remain to be packed.

When using the packing functionality in Dynamics, it appears that a temporary table (WHSTmpPackingLine) contains a field named Completed (see attached image).

Is this field available for use in a detour and, if so, how can it be joined from the load details?

Alternatively, is there a recommended method for exposing the remaining packing lines during the container packing step?

@Kenneth Baeckman To be honest I don't get your intention in total. maybe cause I don't know what you do before and what are you using and how your set-up is.

What I used is packing work. It gets created for all finished picking work.

    So the process is like:

    1. picking work > work order type sales orders
    2. when you put them on packing locations it creates packing work for those license plates. the work is done when the container is closed.

Than you can create a menue for the open packing work type > it is a data inquiry. add the table and configure query and fields. (or try open work list)

And than you can do your detour. Maybe you need to play around a bit with filters and so on.

I don't know if your idea would work. The main reason for me was to use the packing work creation because we needed to add validations to make sure that a palet is not moved to staging location before the whole picking and packing is done.

My scenario was that we do have nested container structure but we couldn't use the containerization as you can not change the setup. So we are doing it with the whs app packing and did a lot of changes to have a parent/child container set-up.

    Hi,

Currently, we only create work for the picking process, and the material is then moved to the pack location. This may be contributing to the issue, as there is no clear status update indicating which items have actually been placed into a container. Since this functionality appears to be available in the Pack form in Dynamics, I assumed it would be possible to display the same information through a detour in the Warehouse App.
