Hi,

I'm trying to set up our Dynamics 365 for the company. Currently looking into the creating quote functionality. When i go to an opportunity quote section and attempt to make a new opportunity. All the fields to create it appear as locked and i get the error "This form can only be used on service-maintenance based records. Record is read only."

I've recently realised i was working in the trial environment and this was the issue. Since i have moved to the licensed environment, it has been resolved

Hi Talha,

That's because this is the Quote: Field Service Information form, so it's locked.

Please switch to the Quote: Quote form, it is not locked and you can edit it.

Hi, I am also facing the same issue - You go to Opportunity > Quotes (tab) > Click on "+ Add New Quote"

It will open up a the Quote form and all the fields will be read only and on the top the message appears like how mentioned above

And when you come back to Opportunity page, the Quote record is created but you can't do much about it (yes, you can select "Activate Quote" to mark it Active - but still it is not editable)

Note: This is a trial Org (setup on 1st April 2019) and I am logged as a System Admin while performing the above actions.
