Is there any way to register inventory for an item in different sizes?
Example:
I keep an item in stock. The unit of this is meter and it is sold in meter. However, in addition to knowing that I have 250 meters in stock, I would like to know that these 250 meters consists of 4xbundles of 50meters each and 2xbundles of 25meters each.
Is this in any way possible?
I use the basic inventory setup.

Item unit of measure might be a logical start. You can set that a 4bundle is made up of 200 metres of the base unit of measure and a 2bundle is made up of 50 metres. If you have a process for making up these bundles in house you may want to use item variants instead. You can then have assembly orders in place to replenish the item variant using the stock keeping unit functionality. Item variants come with the bonus of forcing a user to select a value on a sales document.
