Using Ribbon Workbench Button

Hi all I need a button to be added on the sub grid of a form it should say “complete”. When a record(s) is selected from the sub grid and the button is clicked the record selected should change their status from Open to closed which is in both statecode and status code should be completed. Is there any way some one can suggest how to add the button using ribbon workbench and is there any script for the button to do the job?

I’ve tried adding the button and published the solution but the button doesn’t appear on the sub grid, I might miss something here, need some help

Thanks

    Hi,

Please remove any display rule and Enable rule from your command and then publish your changes.

If this works then you should check display /enable rule configuration

    Hello,

It will be easier to help you when screenshots are available. One trick that I noticed - if the command is not assigned to the button - it won't appear.

In order to update the record, I would recommend using Xrm.WebApi - learn.microsoft.com/.../updaterecord
