We have 30 records in both the PM30200 and POP30300 tables that have no TRXSORCE(empty string). I thought that all records in these tables should have a TRXSORCE, am I mistaken? If not, does anyone know under what circumstances something like this might occur and/or what we can do to fix the existing data?

Interesting. To my knowledge GP does not append A's to doc numbers on its own. I am wondering if there was some kind of issue, maybe a batch got stuck and would not post...and manual intervention was required that resulted in these 'sister' transactions. And if it was a while ago, maybe no one remembers that this was done?

To my knowledge these transactions were not imported into GP. We do have a couple of processes that push data into GP, but I don't believe these transactions originate from one of those interfaces.
In looking for some commonality between the transactions I have noticed something that strikes me as odd. These are not voided transactions but I just noticed that roughly half of them have, for lack of a better term, a sister transaction. What I mean by that is that in about half of these transactinos there is a voided transaction that has the same DOCNUBMR with an 'A' appended to it. I also just noticed that all of these transactions map back to one of two batches.

I don't spot any of these transactions in the GL20000, GL30000 or or the GL10000/GL10001 and none of these are voided transactions...

I just looked through a bunch of GP databases and was not able to find a single transaction with a blank TRXSORCE in those 2 tables.
Were these transactions imported into GP? Or, more specifically, directly into tables? That might account for it.
If not, do these transactions have anything in common? Like are they all beginning balances or for a particular vendor? Or for $0?
