Changing Export Settings for new Server

We are upgrading Dynamics SL from version 7 to 2011 and putting it on a new server. We want to point RMS to the new instance of Dynamics SL. We changed the Export Setting, but it does not seem to write the transaction to the general ledger when we do the export. Are we missing a step?
