CRM 2015 0.2 and Export to Excel format issue

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We are having an Export to Excel issue after updating our CRM 2015 on-premises server install from 0.1 (7.0.1.129) to 0.2 (7.0.2.53).

When we export the following view from CRM to Excel the HTML tags in the description are no longer removed:

Marketing->Accounts-><Select Account>->Activities->Closed Activities.

When the report loads in CRM the Description is shown without HTML tags:

 NoHTMLTag.PNG

However when we select Export Activities->Static Worksheet (Page Only) or any other option, we receive this:

"<html xmlns:o=""urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"" xmlns:w=""urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word"" xmlns:m=""schemas.microsoft.com/.../omml"" xmlns=""www.w3.org/.../REC-html40"">

Has anyone seen this issue and been able to resolve it?

I'm happy to post additional information as needed.

Thanks in advance!
