Add users as System user or to go through Portal route to access Dynamics CRM application

Problem:

We are working on a Dynamics CRM solution which is going to use internally in the company. This application is going to use by all the users in the organization(~ 3 lakhs).

We can think of two solutions for this scenario:

1. Either we can go through portal route where only few people are added as system user and other will have to log in through CRM portal to access the application.

2. Or to on board all the users as System User.

Please suggest which one is better way to go with and why.

Hi,

System user - Are the users who play some key role in your business for example sales team member, marketing team or service people depending on how you are using Dynamics 365 capabilities, so you need to identify key role players from 3 lakhs user and add them to CRM so that they access it , other users and access their data from Portal if and when required.
