I'm trying to figure out a way to prevent marketers from closing other marketers opportunities that they don't own? Would this be security role privilege? Or would I need to write a script that prevented other marketers that don't own the opportunity to not be able to select the reopen/close opportunity button?

Create a real time workflow
Run on status change
Check conditions
If opportunity status equals closed and
Owner doesn't equal modified by
Cancel workflow >> set message here>> you cannot close an opportunity not owned by you
