Good day,
According to this web site, it seems that the only way to hide the AREA part of the site map is to set correct privileges to EVERY sub area in the AREA. Is that true? I know it's a post for CRM 2013 but does that also apply for Dynamics 365?
What is the proper way to do this?
I've tried giving a privilege to the AREA but it's throwing an error when i import.

This post is regarding hiding subarea/area based on the security role, but if you want hide a area you can simply comment that area and import sitemap back to your ogranization.

If you want to delete the complete area from the system say "Marketing" then you can simply customize the sitemap and delete the area.
