We are currently using Item Journals for the issuing of stock used internally. We have also setup and configured Intercompany.
Is it possible that an Item Journal can be processed in 1 company which also creates a transaction in another entity? A requirement as 1 company requests/draws inventory from another but should automatically be expensed on receiving the goods.
I only see an option for Intercompany Journals but not Intercompany Item Journals.
Assistance is greatly appreciated.

The ability to use an Item Journal or Item Reclassification Journal directly from one IC Partner to another is not available. Intercompany G/L Journal manages G/L Account based intercompany transactions. When managing inventory, the system is designed to manage the fulll process of inventory transactions between the IC Partner. Therefore, this is manged through a Linked Sales Order and Purchase Order for managing the flow of inventory shipment and receiving between Intercompany partners, which manages Intercompany Receivable and Payables while also managing the movement of inventory from one compnay to another.
