Need help on setting up application dev environment for appSource platform.

Hi group members,

I am new in D365 Application development for AppSource Platform.

I have started prototyping app using WebResource (JS,HTML and CSS) on Trail Orgs. My assumption is eventually i will get Packaging Org where Managed Package got installed which linked to MS AppSource platform.

am i going into right direction? Or someone can guide me on this?
