Client using Version 1612 (8.2.2.113) (DB 8.2.2.113) online and Outlook app for Dynamics 365.

They synch filter is set to records i follow.
update company fields with parent account names is set to yes
process 1
1) create contact in Outlook - set parent (by either creating new account from lookup or the user sometimes creates the account from CRM and then set parents)
2) records synch and links to correct account in CRM.
3) edit the contact in CRM the change synchs to Outlook
4) edit the contact in Outlook the change synchs to CRM BUT In Outlook only the full name field now has the contact name - company name.
Process 2
1) create account and contact in CRM
2) The account and contact synch to Outlook
3) edit the contact in crm and changes sync to Outlook
4) edit contact in Outlook and the change synchs to crm but in Outlook the full name field now has full name - company name
All ideas welcomed on this, it seems the mapping get mixed up once we change a tracked contact in Outlook.
