Hi,

When importing data into NAV, say the item and item unit of measure tables, we get an error during the importing of Item table relating to the Unit of Measure not existing in Item Unit of Measure table.

Are we meant to import the item table but then disable validation for these fields? If so, then isn't this a problem if you have invalid unit of measure codes that are now not being validated?

The same goes for customer (default ship-to address field) and Ship-to Address table.

If you are importing using xmlport then write a program to create UOM in item unit of measure

Or

If you are using rapidstart to import then tick on create missing masters

Hi,

First of all you need to import

T204 Unit of Measure

after that you can import

T27 Item

T5404 Item Unit of Measure

try to import all setup data first and then master data.

or create while validation UOM etc if value doesnt exist.

Hi! Yes a catch 22 but best to load both and then apply again. Pretty sure this works. Had this issue every time we do a data migration and usually resolves itself. Neil
