Using eConnect taSopLineIvcInsert fails on valid customer number when UpdateIfExists is set to true

Posted on by 75,730

What records does the UpdateIfExists affect when using taSopLineIvcInsert? Is it the SOP line or the SOP header? If I set UpdateIfExists to be zero and you call this routine with a valid customer number the line is inserted into the SOP10200 table. If UpdateIfExists is set to 1 it will tell me the customer does not exist even though I am using the same valid customer number. I am wondering if it is looking at the header line which does not exist yet. If it does, this field makes no sense.

    Hello Richard,

Seems like you're passing UpdateIfExists=1 for new transactions, It does validate whether transaction exists or other header level validations when you set the value to 1. So pass this value as 0 unless if you really want to update the transaction.

    Best,

    Srini
