Mass production rescheduling / replanning

We are using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 14.7 (14.0.37.587.0), and during our production planning we have identified the following situations:
1.    Capacity overloads on machine centers.
2.    Machine breakdowns and capacity shortages.
3.    Deviations between planned and actual production times.
As a result, we need to reschedule or replan all our Firm Planned and Released production orders so that the entire production plan is recalculated and remains consistent with the actual available capacity, calendars, and production constraints.
What is the standard procedure in Business Central 14.7 to perform this type of mass rescheduling / replanning?

Out-of-the-box will be limited, as re-Planning via Planning Worksheet won't reschedule anything unless you change your demand dates.

On your Production Orders, you have the ability to “Refresh” using forward scheduling (starting at today rather than backward from the due date). This is on an order-by-order basis though. If this is a one-time update, this is your quickest resolution.

If this is a continual scheduling requirement, you will want to work with your partner to assess the ISV scheduling options available for your older version of Business Central.

If you are referring to Refresh, this allows you to clear all filter criteria at runtime and batch refresh the data.

    Hello,

In standard BC 14.7, there isn't a single function that fully reschedules all Firm Planned + Released Production Orders based on actual machine capacity and breakdowns. The closest standard process is: first update the Work/Machine Center calendars and capacity, then run Planning Worksheet → Calculate Regenerative Plan/Net Change Plan to recalculate demand/supply and review Reschedule / Reschedule & Change Qty. action messages. Make sure Planning Flexibility = Unlimited if you want existing supply orders considered; released orders can generate planning suggestions, but Business Central treats changes to them cautiously. For the production-order routing itself, use Refresh/Replan to recalculate dates, components, and routing according to the updated calendars. If you configure bottlenecks as Capacity Constrained Resources, BC can use finite loading for those resources; however, Microsoft explicitly describes BC planning as rough-cut scheduling, not an APS/optimization engine, and Planning Worksheet calculations themselves assume infinite capacity. Therefore, if the requirement is to automatically recalculate and optimize all existing Firm Planned/Released orders after breakdowns or actual-time deviations, you normally need a custom batch routine or an APS/manufacturing scheduling solution.
