Shouldn't the category be Development / Customization / SDK?

Please tell us more about your requirement. Are you saying that you want to add a filter to a query used in a form? It's irrelevant whether it's a regular field or a computed column; the process is identical. So either you don't how to add a filter at all (and your question isn't really related to computed columns), or maybe you don't mean a computed column. Aren't you actually talking about a display method?
As you, we can't know what you actually need if you don't explain your problem with enough details.
