preventing or deleting shared views

Hi,

I am being told that a user can assign a personal view to someone on the team and even marking it as read only preventing the user from removing it. I find it strange that Microsoft would not build an option. I did a search on this forum and i found a post where the solution was to use XRMToolbox. I find it odd that we would have to purchase another software for a feature that should be native to Microsoft.

Is it really true that this is not available natively?
