Do you have to archive Purchase Orders? Are we able to keep them open? 
We are having issues with not being able to Copy the original PO document is it's original form and accessing the vendor estimates that are saved to the PO once it is archived.

    Hello,
     
    This is how BC works out of the box where the purchase order will be automatically deleted once it is fully received and invoiced.
     
    There are two approaches to this
    • Turn on 'Archive Orders' on 'Purchase & Payables Setup'.
      • BC will automatically archive the PO before deleting it. You can look for them under 'Purchase Order Archives' and you can also 'Copy Document' from archived record.

    Its a setup, in the Purchases & Payables Setup Page, there is an Archive Orders field

    Specifically Purchased items to outside vendors. Once we get the invoice the PO is being archived. Is this an automatic function that BC requires once the PO is received? Or have we set out system up that way?

    once the po is posted, bc deletes it automatically. if you want to reference a po later, you could manually archive it. So bc saves a copy even the original one gets deleted.

    It is not mandatory to have to archive documents, it can be done manually or set to be automatic.
