Refreesh,
Sorry for the delay in response, I just saw your updates, as mentioned by Frank, it will work and worth to be tested on a test database before.
Refreesh, that should work but I would test it in a test database first.
please advice
pls advice
Thanks Mahmoud,
we have a very big ASSET BOOK. so kindly suggest me if i can make adjust below steps with out deleting value from database
- LTD depreciation value with the same value of COST BASIS
- change depreciation method to NO DEPRECIATION
- recalculate the depreciation.
please advice.
- We recover the problem happend when the depreciation is running in November 2011. please advice HOW CAN WE MODIFY?
You just set the correct LTD and YTD depreciation using either Cards>> Financial>> Fixed Assets>> Book or by doing so from FA00100.
- please advice when we are deleting the record. do we need to remove all the remaining negative entries(for us its in November and December 2011).
Remove only entries that you feel like it is incorrect and does not represents the correct figures.
- how we can make adjust entry in the GL for the month because the problem started in november 2011 and the entries are posted in the GL also
You just create a journal entry to correct your figures, make sure you reconciles FA to GL after finalizing your tasks and make sure that you clear GL posting queue by running FA GL Posting Routine between 2011-000 and 2011-999
Hope that this helps :)

hi mahmoud,
Thanks for your support, Please clear few steps to do the further process based on your tips.
1. Manually modify the YTD and the LTD either from the GP inteface or from FA00100 table in your company database.

I been in the same situation before, unfortunately looks like the FA calculation sometime does not match the expected calculation and once the value went below the "Zero" the system will keep depreciating your asset.
To resolve this you will need to follow the below steps:
1. Manually modify the YTD and the LTD either from the GP inteface or from FA00100 table in your company database.
2. Go to FA00902 table and delete the "incorrect records" that's related to your asset.
3. Change the depreciation method from "Straight-Line Orig Life" to "No Depreciation".
This will work around what you currently have.
hi,
Please see the attached snapshot, remaining days are zero and Net book value is negative. means instead of zero value in the Book value, after Fully Depreciated the process is running and showing negative Book Value.
kindly give a solution to make it zero and stop the process after fully depreciated
It's difficult to see the detail in your screen shots. What are all the values in your Book card? Is there a value in the Amortization Amt/Pct field?
