Cannot continue import of objects in data upgrade process (2009 R2-2013)

Posted on by

Hi,

Cannot continue data upgrade. I am getting below error when I am trying to import objects.fob (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh165894(v=nav.71).aspx)

he error message says ' You cannot delete or change the type of the components on External Document No. field(in the Cust. Ledger Entry table) before the value in the field reduced to 0 (zero) or " (blank) in all records. This message occurred because a nonzero value was not found for the record no. ='15128' in company (companyname)

We are hoping for your response.

Make sure that every field in the preexisting table is also (with the same ID) in the new table you are importing. This is very important :-)

It seems like you have a field called External Document No. in Cust. Ledger Entry table.

and the new FOB set didn't have that field or type is different.

you can only delete or change when there is no data in that field.

so you have to clear all records in that field (if data is not required) before importing FOB
