We have AX 2012 R3. I wan to understand what are the settings under System Administration/Setup/System/Server Configuration (Performance Optimisation tab). How do the cache settings affect the system's performance? Some forums indicated to increase the cache values, but did not get why and how they improve the performance. Any good explanation of those settings is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Statement cache can improve the performance by storing commonly used statement and executing directly. It is the same with default definition and operation for cache.
