I have a client using Microsoft's RMS software to manage stock and POS. I am trying to identify the table on the SQL server which contains the items and the current stock levels. They have a HQ installation, and 3 warehouses, 2 of which run on MSDE at remote sites, one on the local SQL server at HQ.
I am developing an application which needs to look up the stock levels in the 3 warehouses, I can find the stock levels for the warehouse based on the local SQL server in warehouse1.dbo.Item, however the correspending databases on the local server for the remote sites do not have the correct stock levels, they are either wrong or zero. The stock levels for the 2 remote sites must be mirrored locallally on the HQ SQL server, as we are able to use the Store Ops client to get correct stock figures when the connection to the remote sites is unavailable.
My question is, where on the local SQL server can i find the stock levels for the remote sites? There is no obvious column / table, so I am thinking it might be a calculated field.
Here is a summry of tables on the various servers:
Main SQL server at HQ has:dbHQ dbwarehouse1, dbwarehouse2, dbwarehouse3
Remote site 1 has MSDE with dbwarehouse2remote
Remote site 2 has MSDE with dbwarehouse3remote
We are getting very little help from the company that supports the system, hence me asking here if anyone has any knowledge of this system.
