"This Batch is used to record FSS Inventory Transfers"

I have seen a batch number in inventory transfer named "gp-a" having date "01/01/1900" and description ".This Batch is used to record FSS Inventory Transfers". Created by user is also empty for this batch attached with 121 documents , all haveing same date as that of the batch(01/01/1900)

How is this batch generated and for what purpose??

Hello Friends,

I know this is very old post. I do several batches are unposted with above batch description. This is causing the issue in Inventory. The quantity shows as Allocated for the specific site. Why it is not posting it automatically?

Any advice on this issue?

I have had several of these batches appear after in transit transfers attached to FSC. I have deleted them. It doesn't seem to affect the FSC or inventory.

We're having the same scenario under Dynamics GP 2015. It happenned while working an InTransit Transfer just after the Ship process. If we post the Batch, it duplicates the entries in the Inventory Layers and the Batch remains "Available". Anyone can repeat the post and continue adding multiple transactions to the Inventory Layers.

Why the system creates this Batch?

Can it be deleted no matter what or should we check something prior to delete it?
