emailing monthly customer statements, we are finding our batch processing is sending out multiple statements in the one batch. What am I doing wrong?

Can you tell what exactly you mean with "sending out multiple statements in the one batch" and why this is wrong? Please clarify the issue.
The same customer gets the same statement multiple times.
under "records to include" i add a customer group which is approximately 500 customers ( over zero balance ). I have heard back from a lot of them saying they received at least 6 emails each with the same statement.
hope this clarifies my earlier question better.
