The source document Sales Order is not released even though it is released.

Lately we have been having an issue when posting warehouse shipments where it will return an error "The source document Sales Order 12345 is not released."  The sales order is in released status.  The only way I can resolve this is to reopen the sales order document and then release again. The warehouse posting will work with no issue.  Has anyone seen an issue like this?

    It's generally a good idea to delete the Warehouse Shipment if the Sales Order needs to be re-opened because the old Warehouse Shipment won't reflect the changes that are made to the Sales Order.
     
    Then create another Warehouse Shipment after the SO has been released. This will ensure that all the updated details have been transferred.

    There were no changes to the sales order.  It has been in released state during warehouse shipment creation.  It is at posting the warehouse shipment that BC raises an error that the SO is not released even though the current status is Released.
