Importing fixed assets

Posted on by 15

I am trying to import assets in Dynamics  GP 2018 - I have my asset class ID's input and the other setup info. When I try to run the import with the macro function, it stops at the class ID with an error, "unexpected modal dialog (line 12)". The class ID has a "~" in the name, would this cause a problem? Thank you

I recommend using class ids without any special characters. That way your sorts, searches, asset groups and PSTL changes are consistent.

What is the modal dialog being displayed?
