How to find out Last Modified date of a component (Entity, Option Set, Plugin, Process, etc)

Hi all,

I was wondering whether there is way to find out when a component (for example an Entity, Option Set, Web resource, Plugin, etc.) was modified last time? Is there a timestamp stored in the database for each of these components? I was not able to find it. The reason I’m asking this is that it would be handy to know. Because when we do further development and customization on our Development Organization it would nice to identity all items which have been modified/touched since a specific data and make sure these are all added to a new solution? I know it is best practice to add components first to the new solution before you modify them. But there is always the risk that you miss that step.
