What would be the quickest way to delete 2-3k items from Inventory?

I am trying to do that with Excel with Dynamics Add-in but it's way to slow and unresponsive. Any other options?

Edit in Excel would be your best bet.  Otherwise you could look at a 3rd party like SmartConnect.

    Thanks,

Chris, again, thank you for your help. How long do you think it should take to delete 3k items with Excel? I am just trying to understand if things are working properly on my side...

I'm creating 3k items right now with 'Edit in Excel' and it's processing about 100 records every 8-10 seconds.  So it's going to take several minutes.  I'll delete them afterwards and see how long it takes.  The Add-in is showing me how far along it is in processing though... Are you not seeing that?

    Thanks,

    Chris

Deleting is taking at least twice as long per 100 changes... maybe more.  I would expect it to be done in roughly 10 minutes though.

    Thanks,

Looks like something is broken on my side. I was unable to effectively create new items with Excel. Excel works if I am creating just a few records, but when I am publishing many items it stuck and freezes for hours until I close the app (I found about 70 items published to Financials after that). So I used the import template to import the items. Same with deletion. Excel asks for confirmation to delete xxxx number of items and freezes on Publishing forever... Any ideas how to fix or troubleshoot?

I'd try to figure out if this is something specific to your computer\network\company\tenant.  Are you able to try from another computer and\or network connection?  Do you have another company you can test with?   Narrowing it down to a specific failure point would be the best bet.

    Thanks,

    Chris
