FRx Reporting Trees - Do I need to use them?

Posted on by 35

I need to create a revenue report in FRx that draws revenues from two companies.  The revenue categories and general ledger codes for each company are unique and will appear on seperate lines but will utilize the same columns (this year, last year, variance).

Can this be done without using Reporting Trees?

I thought that by creating a Row Definition and opening a Link Column (Column I), it might work.  Unforunately, I'm not getting the revenues to pull over from the second company.

Possibly, I'm missing something in the Column Definition?

Thanks.

Thanks for the clarification.  After working throught the column definition logic more thoroughly, I can see why it would be necessary.  Thanks again.

If you're reporting from more than one company, you will absolutely need a reporting tree.
