Hide or Restrict ModifedBy field

Posted on by 230

Hi,

I would like to give an external vendor WebAPI access to some records (based on ownership) of just a single entity. My problem is that the ModifiedBy field is a bit too reveling, actually, its a bit more than a bit reveling, particularly when using " FormattedValue". I can obviously not enable Field Security on the ModifiedBy filed. Are there any other solutions?

You can add a condition based on the calling user. Only if the user belongs to a particular business unit, security role, etc... set the modified by field to null

But that would null the field indefinitely?

    Hi,

Another option would be writing retrieve multiple plugin and set the value null of modified by field.
