Can we filter or hide views based on the Sitemap selection?

Posted on by 30

Hi Community,

I am in a situation to add an entity to the sitemap.

The entity currently has around 15 active system views and we are about to create more. And each user has their own views too.

This is becoming a big list so we want to place the same entity on the sitemap to have some of the views in there. Just wondering if this is possible in the current version of D365?

We can't deactivate any of the views and these views are used across the business by many users.

Can't use secutiry roles/ BU based way cause of all users having almost same security role and belongs to same BU.

Tried finding something about this but no answer anywhere in the previous threads.

    Hi Steve,

    Thanks for your response.

The business do not want to assign them to a team but wanted them as system views to be accessible for all.

So I had to convince the business to assign them to team or have that big list of views in there for everyone.

Vote for this idea below if you think this feature is useful.

Ability to filter views based on sitemap selection.

    Many thanks.

    Hi Venkata Golla,

    Unfortunately, this is not supported.

In you case, you could create some personal views and teams.

Then add those users who need to use the specific to a team and then share the view to the team.
