Quick Print Disappeared After 2013 R2 Upgrade

Posted on by 175

After the upgrade a user complained that Ctrl-Q no longer worked. I assumed it was a update glitch and went to re-configure. When I went to the new big option button on my SOP form I could not find Quick Print. Has this been removed or do I need new glasses.

In my spare time (maybe before R2 SP1) I'll try and drop a note to MS. In the meantime thanks to all of you posting in the forum and helping each other out.

It would be worth noting this through to MS - often little pieces like that can be overlooked when they bring out something new.  That is obviously something that would be a barrier to the user adopting the new functionality so while it wouldn't fix it in the short-term, at least it is down hopefully for a newer release.

If turning off the new ribbon doesn't work, or you want to keep the new ribbon view, as a workaround you could record a macro to do the print function and then link that to the short-cut for Ctrl Q.

This is my video on YouTube that covers it if that helps:  www.youtube.com/watch

    Cheers

Thank you. The Quick Print options re-appeared. Very Strange.

You might want to go to this and take a look.  Could be the reason you are not seeing the button.
