Hi,

I deployed an extension including soap webservice in a client's sandbox. But I am unable to access it with userID and web service access key. But it works fine in my sandbox. Any idea what could be the possible reasons?.

Thanks in advance.

    Thank you for the replies.

There is no error message..I just tried to log onto the soap URL using userID and web service access key, but it doesn't allow. It is a super user and could not find any issue with permissions

Can you describe a bit more what do you mean by it doesn't allow? There would either be an error or a blank page etc?
Are you using the USERNAME on the user card or the authentication email as the username? Can you also make sure the web service access key is copied in it's entirety? If there is a special character such as / then it would only copy part of the key when you double click the field. Thank you.

    Hi,

By 'doesn't allow' I meant, soap URL just shows the same login window even after entering userID and password. Username from user card is used as ID and the password is correctly copied. I just noticed that the client's sandbox name is sandbox-19-05-2020. Would this be the issue?

Also, is not advisable to use basic authentication in client's environment?. Instead should we use OAuth?

    Thanks,

What is the error message that you get?

Using Client email ID while signing in to the Soap account would help to solve the problem.

If that does not work, use the User ID on the User card to use as the account name in the required fields.

    Hello,

In a multi tenant environment, you may want to add the tenant ID / tenant name in front of the user name when using the browser.

    E.g.:

    tenantname\domainname\username

    webservice key

Assuming your UserName is domain\username and tenant is cronusnl, then it should become:

    cronusnl\domain\username

    webservicekey

    Hope it does help.
