GP - Advanced Financials - Income Statement

Posted on by 160

Is there a way to allocate a segment of general business expenses (dept 00) to different sales divisions on one statement (i.e., equip. sales - 30%, service sales 70%). Icould not find anyway to do it on a single row, only for a whole column. Any advice?

Please respond here or email ali.mannion@amtechcs.com

Thanks!

Yes, through allocation accounts.  You would do this at the time the expense is posted.  When you create an allocation account, you specify the destination accounts and the percent distribution. Then when you post $100 to the allocation account the result is $30 to one account and $70 to the second account (if that is the way you set up the allocations)
