When capturing Leave users are able to choose full Day, Half -day or blank. Choosing blank caused zero days to be calculated. Is this a feature? Any way of switching off?

What is the setup in the calendar for this employee?
The default amount should come from calendar if this is set up for an employee.

I agree with Charlotte. Please go to employee, check employment history and calendar field should be filled in.
Once you have calendar field filled in then you can default value coming from the employee calendar.
Days on the calendar assigned to the employee have not been generated, that's the problem.
After you generate them the problem will be solved :)
