Hi, we are new to Nav 2009 R2 & are looking at the contacts & their relationships to Customers. If we set up a Customer & then a Company & a person, if we link the person to the company then this is fine, they are linked to that Company. However if we link the company to the Customer & treat the Customer as the master, then this then applies the customer address & telephone numbers to the Company & the person(s), but as in our case ( & lots of people) we have person(s) who are contacts that have a different address & Telephone numbers to that of the customer. What is the best way of linking Contacts to Customers so that the information fields are kept correct?
Thanks
Ian

Hello Ian,
Thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community Forum.
The Marketing Setup (Departments > Sales & Marketing > Administration > Marketing Setup) includes the Inheritance Tab. If you deselect Address for inheritance, this would enable what you are looking for. You can find more information regarding the functionality in the training material on Customer Source under the Training & Certification > Download Training Material site. The Relationship Management material can be found at the following link:

I hope the information provided helps.
Best Regards
Tom
